The European Festivals Association (EFA) is the umbrella organisation for arts festivals across Europe and beyond. Over more than 50 years, EFA has grown into a dynamic network representing more than 100 music, dance, theatre and multidisciplinary festivals, national festivals associations and cultural organisations from about 40 (mainly European) countries. For the 2009 European Year of Creativity and Innovation, EFA initiated the project FestLab for Creativity and Innovation, aiming to demonstrate the important role that culture, arts, artists and festivals play in creating a fruitful ground for the development of innovative and creative talents and competences.

Newspaper Kurzemnieks is the only one regional newspaper which targets people living in Kuldiga, Skrunda and Alsunga regions. Kurzemnieks is published three times a week: on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. circulation is changing, on average its 6400 copies per one edition. The newspaper is printed in printing house Kurzemes Vārds in Liepaja. Since September 2001 the newspaper has its internet website. It mainly focuses on general news related to the region, main country-level politics and economics issues etc.

Fryshuset is a foundation headed by the YMCA. It was founded in 1984 as a result of efforts by the Stockholm YMCA and a couple of determined enthusiasts. At the outset, sports and music were the dominant activities, but as young people began to shape and influence the place, social engagement started to grow as a reflection of the needs of society at large. Today Fryshuset employs around 350 people and receives approximately 40,000 visitors every month and has expanded from Stockholm to Gothenburg and Malmoe.
Fryshuset is as well known for its social work as it is for education, skateboarding, basketball and music. The organization runs an upper secondary school and has programmes for vocational training, theatre, music, sports, events, concerts and discotheques, debates and lectures.

Media is the substance of the education in the Voionmaa Institute, which was founded in the year 1951 near Tampere, Finland, as a private people's college. Most international departments in our school are at this moment Photography and Motion Picture & Television. At Voionmaa there are also departments of Film Acting, Journalism and Radio- & TV-journalism. We have cooperative partners in Greece, Estonia and Bosna i Hercegovina. The Helsinki Festival is the largest arts festival in Finland, organised annually in late summer. Helsinki Festival operates under the auspices of the Helsinki Week Foundation, established by the City of Helsinki. The festival's aim is to make art accessible for all. The first Helsinki Festival took place in May 1968. In its forty years, the Festival has presented a unique line up from Luciano Pavarotti to Massive Attack, from Picasso to Andy Warhol, from the New York City Philharmonic to La Fura dels Baus, from the Kaivopuisto concerts to the Mayor's Popular Selection, from the Piazza of Flavours to the Maa ilmassa exhibition, from Peter Brook to Pina Bausch... Events as diverse as the Flow music festival, the Poetry Moon, the UMO Jazz Fest, Viapori Jazz and the Art goes Kapakka complement the Festival offering
In 2008, the festival had a total of 262,646 visitors. The Finnish Museum of Photography is the national special museum for photography, its job being to promote and foster Finnish photographic art and culture. The Museum, founded on the initiative of a number of photography organizations, began its work in 1969. The Museum is maintained by the Foundation for the Finnish Museum of Photography.
The Hellenic Union of Romania appeared on December 1989. UER is an organization who represents historical and legal continuity of the Greek communities formed and built up during history. Its goals are most of all to maintain, develop and transmit the ethnical identity, to cultivate the excellent historical relations between Greece and Romania, develop the dialogue with the local public authorities and other nongovernmental organizations such as those of the national minorities recognized by the Romania state.
The Nederlands Fotomuseum in Rotterdam is thé centre for photography. The museum dedicates itself to photography in the widest sense of the word, represented in a interesting mix of exhibitions comprising historical and contemporary photography from The Netherlands and abroad, publications, lectures and workshops. With its library, print shop, filmlounge and fabulous book shop the museum is a mecca for everybody who loves photography. The Nederlands Fotomuseum is also the treasure chamber of Dutch photography. The museum manages 130 archives of work by Dutch photographers: a total of 4 million negatives, transparencies and prints etc. The collection comprises work by famous photographers such as Ed van der Elsken, Cas Oorthuys, Aart Klein and Frits Rotgans.
The Estonian Year of Innovation 2009 is a year of new ideas, creative thinking and acting differently. Launched originally by the Estonian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communication on the basis of the Innovation Awareness programme developed by Enterprise Estonia, The Estonian Year of Innovatioin 2009 has more than 200 partners who arrange innovation-related events, conferences, competitions and acts of recognition throughout 2009. The patron for The Year of Innovation is Estonia’s President Mr. Toomas Hendrik Ilves.
At the Stockholm City Library you can find fiction and literature in various subject areas, and child and youth literature and also a library with audio books. Asplund library is the largest public libraries in Sweden and it is also well known internationally. The library has approximately 550 000 books and is visited daily by about 3000 visitors.
Kamera-lehti – magazine for active photographers
With over 69.000 monthly readers, Kamera-lehti is Finland's biggest and most important magazine for photography, digital imaging and video. Kamera-lehti has been combining the art of photography with technology since 1950.
The magazine has a broad readership, ranging from photo-dealers and professional photographers to all those who have an interest in photography as a hobby. It follows all major developments in photography, digital imaging and video arenas: testing cameras, films, scanners, printers and software applications. Each monthly issue features several competitions as well as offering other creative challenges to its readers.
Kamera-lehti has been a member of EISA since 1985, taking an active part in Photo and Video and Mobile Devices panels (www.eisa.eu).
The Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma has firmly established its position in the heart of Helsinki, thanks to both its thought-provoking repertoire and its fascinating architecture. Kiasma’s repertoire includes exhibitions presenting Finnish and international contemporary art, collection displays, performances in the Kiasma Theatre, workshops, seminars and lectures. The Kiasma Store and Café Kiasma, with its attractive outdoor area in the summer, serve visitors on the ground floor.
Founded in 1968, the French Cultural Centre in Helsinki is the official French government centre of language and culture in Finland. It is one of numerous French Institutes worldwide, dedicated to promote cultural exchange in the areas of art, science and language. We offer art events and film projections as well as language training, scientific seminars and student information services. We also have a library with multimedia material open to public.
ArtEZ hogeschool voor de kunsten behoort tot de grote kunsthogescholen in Nederland. ArtEZ verzorgt bachelor- en masteropleidingen op het gebied van beeldende kunst, mode, vormgeving, bouwkunst, muziek, dans en theater, en biedt daardoor ruimte voor disciplineoverstijgende samenwerking. De hogeschool heeft circa 3000 studenten en verzorgt onderwijs in Arnhem, Enschede en Zwolle. Het College van Bestuur en de ondersteunende diensten zijn geconcentreerd in Arnhem.
